The Media Brew at IBC: Where Ideas and Innovation Meet
At IBC 2025, The Media Brew podcast transformed the Bedrock booth into a hub for open conversation and industry insight. Hosted and produced by Marion Ranchet of Streaming Made Easy, the series captured authentic, fast-paced discussions with some of the most insightful voices in streaming.
Guests included Yann Colleter (The Streaming Lab), Mike Duin (Whale TV), Evan Shapiro (ESHAP), Linette Zaulich (ZDF Studios), Maria Ingold (mirality), Christophe Jouin (Crunchyroll), and Sylviane Lecomte, Chief Discovery & Experience Officer at Bedrock.
In her episode, Sylviane explored how artificial intelligence is transforming the streaming experience, from improving service quality and anticipating issues before they occur to enabling more natural, contextual ways for viewers to discover content. She highlighted Google TV’s 2026 preview featuring Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, as a glimpse of what’s ahead for truly personalized and conversational user experiences.
While AI continues to open new possibilities, fragmentation across platforms remains one of the industry’s biggest challenges. Sylviane spoke about the importance of collaboration and shared technology foundations to help streaming services focus on what audiences value most: distinctive content and a seamless experience.
What made The Media Brew special wasn’t the setup but the conversations it sparked. That openness to share, question, and collaborate is what keeps this industry, and Bedrock, moving forward.
